THE CATRIONA APARTMENT

Designed for a young, vibrant professional and her two dogs, this apartment reflects a sensibility that is refined yet continually evolving — a home shaped by curiosity, comfort, and an appreciation for beautifully crafted objects. Responding to her lifestyle and our spatial dialogue, the original five-bedroom shell was reconceived as an expansive two- bedroom residence: one for her and the other as a gracious guest suite. The remaining rooms were transformed into a bespoke dressing room, a quiet home office, and a private gym, creating a layout that feels deliberate, generous, and intimately attuned to the way she lives.

A hand-scooped teak door, finished in the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, introduces the material richness that defines the home. The living and dining areas flow into one another as a singular, elegant volume anchored by a sculpted bar and illuminated by the poetic glow of a Bocci 38 Series installation. An informal yet meticulously planned kitchen reflects her love of food and the conviviality of hosting.

Every piece of furniture — from tailored cabinetry to upholstered seating — was crafted in our KoKo by K2India workshops, underscoring the project’s commitment to artisanal detail. Layered textures, high-tech comforts, and a quietly confident palette coalesce to create a home that is warm, contemporary, and deeply expressive — a true mirror of its owner’s evolving style.
