K2india Exhibition Space at INDIA DESIGN ID 2016

Kohelika Kohli is of the firm belief that spaces must always be functional, uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing, so that it leads the visitor to desire one or several of its many components.

The K2India Stall at ID’16 was designed as a Family Lounge and it showcased many luxurious elements..from a 16 feet gas fireplace imported from Belgium, to a beautiful breakfast table, to a collection of tables with petrified wood tops, to finely crafted classic contemporary sofas and superb cabinetry furniture items which included the fully customised and functional ‘Raspberry Bar’.

Above the 16 feet fireplace, by Vero Design from Belgium, were displayed a collection of 1950s black and white photographs of New Delhi by the iconic photographer, Madan Mahatta. This wall, clad in pale raspberry wallpaper, subtly reinforced the colour palette, selected for that year, by Kohelika, as did the old and rare Mughul carpet in similar tones from Carpet Cellar. One can also see the unique Bocci lights imported by Lightbox for K2India. It had air plants in them which was a beautiful green functional addition, as these plants aerate a room with oxygen.
